BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College men's basketball team opened up their 2025-26 home schedule with a heartbreaking 85-84 loss to the Onondaga Community College Lazers Wednesday night.
Izick Reaves had a team-high 20 points for the Cougars. Reaves also had five assists and collected four rebounds. Scotty Lee scored 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and had one steal. Damani Hinks had 13 points off the bench. Talha Aamir scored 16 points, including going perfect from the 3-pt line. Izayah Reaves, Said Adam, Jerry Ortriz, Keysaun Murray, Adonys Villafane, and Precise Clarke all scored for Genesee.
Genesee is back in action at home on Saturday with a 3 pm tip-off against the Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers.
