Soccer adds Swiatek
On March 9th, Stella Kwiatek committed to the Genesee Women's Soccer team for the 2026 season. Stella is a 5'5" center midfielder who started 4 years for the Kendall Varsity girls' soccer team, where she was a captain for her senior season. Kwiatek recorded 14 career goals and 19 career assists. She is a two-time Genesee Region All-Star and has been awarded Defensive Player of the Week and was also a Genesee Region All-Star for basketball as well. She plays for the Rochester Rush Club Soccer Team as well as playing basketball and running track for her high school. She is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, and refs little league soccer. Stella plans to major in Health Studies while attending GCC.
Stella is not the only strong player that has come out of Kendall and choose to play for Genesee. Ashley Makowski and Julie Coble, both Kendall alum, played for the Cougars during exceptionally successful years. "What we often find in our Kendall girls is that they are incredibly hard working and have a lot of grit, which is exactly what we look for on our team," stated Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt. Ashley, an All-Conference and All-Region player, played for the Cougars in 2014 when they won Conference, Regionals, and went on to the National Tournament. Julie, also an All-Conference and All-Region player, played when the women's team not only won Conference and Regionals in 2022, but also went to the National Tournament and ended up fourth overall. "Stella has big shoes to fill but she is so driven and gifted that we know she will exceed our expectations", said Jeff.
Jeff and Assistant Coach Macy have been meeting with a lot of recruits and have some more commitments coming up. The Cougars ended their 2025 season in the National Tournament with a 13-4-2 record, where they ended up 4th in the country overall.
