On March 3rd, Alahna Chatt committed to the Genesee Women's Soccer team for the 2026 season. Alahna is a 5'5" center midfielder who started 4 years for the Oakfield Alabama Elba Varsity girls' soccer team, where she was a captain for her senior season. Chatt recorded 49 career goals and 38 career assists. She is a three-time Genesee Region All-Star for soccer and outdoor track, three-time 4x100 Sectional Champion, two-time Genesee Region All-Star for indoor track, 4x200 Sectional Champion, and a Eugene Bezon Hustle Award recipient. She plays for the Batavia Club Soccer Team as well as participating on her school's indoor and outdoor track teams. She is a member of her school's Trivia Team, National Honor Society, Class Secretary, and Student Athletic Association. She has also received academic awards like Alfred University Scholar, Bausch and Lomb Honorary Award, and the Science Award. Alahna plans to major in Business while attending GCC.
Alahna will be joining the team with her past teammate, Piper Hyde. "We always have great success recruiting from OAE because the girls have grit and a strong work ethic," stated Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt. Piper was awarded All-Tournament Team for Regionals, Region III Athlete of the Week after scoring the game winning goal in Regional Finals, All-Region Team, and two-time GCC Athlete of the Week this past season as a freshman. "Piper was an integral piece not only in season but especially in Regionals and Nationals. We're looking forward to having her and Alahna on the same team again", said Jeff.
Jeff and Assistant Coach Macy have been meeting with a lot of recruits and have some more commitments coming up. The Cougars ended their 2025 season in the National Tournament with a 13-4-2 record, where they ended up 4th in the country overall.
