Women's Soccer adds huber
On January 17th, Riley Huber committed to the Genesee Women's Soccer team for the 2026 season. Riley is a 5'4" left outside defender who started 4 years for the West Seneca West Varsity girls' soccer team. Huber recorded 12 career goals and 25 career assists. She is a ECIC Second Team All-Star and plays for the WNY Flash Club Soccer Team as well as West Seneca Travel Soccer Team. Huber plays on her school's Varsity Basketball and Lacrosse teams also. Riley plans to major in General Studies while attending GCC.
Riley will be joining the team at a great time in Cougar History. "We have been recruiting some really strong players and the girls that are returning will have the experience of winning Regionals and competing at Nationals. We have high hopes for this 2026 team and are really looking forward to making another statement in the fall," stated Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt. The Cougars were 5-0-1 in their Conference, 10-1-2 in their Division, and 9-1-2 in the Region. They were Conference Champions, Regional Champions, had 85 goals in 19 games which was one of the highest in the nation, and recorded 13 shut outs which was also one of the highest in the nation.
Jeff and Assistant Coach Macy have been meeting with a lot of recruits and have some more commitments coming up. The Cougars ended their 2025 season in the National Tournament with a 13-4-2 record, where they ended up 4th in the country overall.
