Womens Soccer falls to Dallas Brookhaven
BATAVIA, NY – Genesee's Women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 in overtime during the Semi-finals of the NJCAA National tournament by Dallas College Brookhaven. In a hard fought matchup, a strong defensive, and goalkeeping performance, the Cougars were unable to find the net.
The offense was held in check throughout the game, managing only 4 total shots and 4 shots on goal. Players who recorded shots on goal included Samantha Bates, Alivia Wolf, Piper Hyde, and Abby Hall.
The Cougars' goalkeepers were outstanding. Natalie Prinzi started the game and made 8 saves, while Eva Di Domenico made 3 saves. Together, the keepers recorded 11 saves in the match.
They would hold Brookhaven in full time, while pushing it into overtime.
The team will play their final game of the season in the Third place game against Suffolk Community College on Sunday at 1:00pm.
