WATERTOWN, NY… The Genesee Community College women's basketball team was defeated at the hands of the Fulton-Montgomery Community College Raiders 76-41 on Saturday in the NJCAA Region III quarterfinals, hosted by Jefferson Community College.
Jaimin Macdonald led the way offensively for Genesee, scoring 13 points and earned her third consecutive double-double, collecting 11 rebounds and adding 4 assists. Kiara van der Jagt scored 11 points for the blue and gold. Emmi Veras collected 10 rebounds off the glass and scored four points. Sydney Reilly scored three points and collected five rebounds. Seneca Calderon added five points, while Julia Knight scored four for Genesee.
The Cougars finished the season with a record of 12-12, 5-7 in Mid-State Athletic Conference competition, and 9-9 in Region III play, earning the #7 seed in the Region championship tournament.
