BATAVIA, NY… The #2 nationally-ranked Genesee Community College men's soccer team picked up a 3-1 victory against the Bryant & Stratton College (Syracuse) Bobcats Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, Genesee would get on the board less than five minutes into the second, as Taylor Beardsworth-March scored from a Axel Monells cross. Bryant & Straton would tie the game on a PK by Unobatsha Mbaiwa. Malik Watson would put Genesee back out front in the 75th minute off an indirect kick. Sonny Simpson would add to the Cougars lead from a Unai Cruz pass.
The Cougars offense had 10 shots on goal. Alvaro Hermosa made seven saves in net for Genesee.
Genesee (7-0) will host Tompkins Cortland Community College on Sunday, September 24 at 3:30pm.
