Cougars Finish Regular Season with Win Over Jamestown
The Genesee Men's Basketball team closed out the 2019-2020 regular season with a win over Jamestown CC.
JAMESTOWN, NY... The Genesee Men's Basketball team closed out the 2019-2020 regular season with a win over Jamestown CC.
Jordan Matos led all scorers with 29 points, shooting 11-17 from the field and 6-11 from three-point territory. Souleymane Gueye and Legacy Wallace finished with 15 points. Gueye also had 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Wallace had 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Devin Green added another double-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Isaiah Clemons closed out his regular season campaign with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Junior Sutherland chipped in another 7 points and pulled down 5 rebounds.
The Cougars will host Jamestown CC this Tuesday, February 25, in the Anthony T. Zambito Gymnasium, for the first round of the Region III Tournament. A win on Tuesday would send Genesee to the Regional Semi-Finals on Saturday vs Niagara County at Erie CC.
