GAME 2:
The Genesee Cougars dropped the second game of Thursday's doubleheader, falling 8-3 to Finger Lakes CC. The Lakers took the lead in the third inning following a triple and a groundout, maintaining control for the rest of the contest.
Dombrowski led the Cougars' offense with a perfect 2-for-2 performance at the plate, including an RBI. Robertson also drove in a run to help Genesee's scoring effort. The team finished with seven hits overall but struggled to capitalize against Finger Lakes' starter, who struck out seven in a complete-game effort.
Richards started on the mound for the Cougars, pitching nearly three innings and striking out two. Genesee showed discipline at the plate by not striking out frequently, but couldn't overcome the early deficit.
The guys look to ride the win and overcome the loss in their next game against SUNY Niagara at home on Saturday, 4/25/26.
