Game 1:
The Cougars defeated the Onondaga Lazers 6-5 on Tuesday in a dramatic walk-off finish at home. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh, Higgins delivered a clutch double to drive in the winning run.
Rightmyer fueled the offense, going 3-for-4 with two doubles. Higgins also recorded three hits, while Rangel, Yageric, and Flak each contributed RBIs to help the Cougars claw back from a mid-game deficit. The defense remained sharp, successfully turning a double play to keep the game within reach.
Baggio earned the win on the mound, pitching a complete seven-inning game. He allowed only two earned runs and struck out two, providing the stability Genesee needed to secure the late-inning comeback.
Game 2:
Baseball fell 7-4 to the Onondaga Lazers on Tuesday. Onondaga took an early lead, but the Cougars quickly responded in the second inning with a rally fueled by a Flak single, a Higgins walk, and an RBI groundout from Yageric to tie the game at three.
The Lazers reclaimed the lead for good in the third inning after a two-run home run sparked a four-run surge. Despite the deficit, Genesee's bullpen kept the game competitive. Murray provided strong relief, pitching over four innings and allowing only one run on two hits.
Offensively, the Cougars were aggressive on the bases, recording four stolen bases, including two by Emara. Flak, Davey, Emara, Rightmyer, and Yageric each recorded a hit. Genesee also looked sharp defensively, successfully turning a double play during the contest.
