Game 1:

The  Cougars lost 6-3 on Sunday in a tightly contested home game. Genesee struck first in the opening inning when Yageric singled to drive in a run, and later reclaimed the lead in the third behind a two-run double from Robertson.

Erie CC pulled ahead for good in the fourth, scoring four runs to set the final margin. Despite the loss, the Cougars were aggressive on the bases, recording five stolen bases, including three from Emara.

Flak led the offense with two hits, while Robertson finished the day with a team-high two RBIs. Richards started on the mound, striking out three over five innings. Genesee's hitters showed discipline throughout, but were unable to overcome Erie's seven-inning complete game from Rogers.

Game 2:

Davey delivered a dominant performance on the mound Sunday, striking out 12 batters to lead the Genesee Cougars to a 6-2 win over Finger Lakes Community College. He pitched a complete seven-inning game, allowing only three hits and one walk.

The game was tied at two until the sixth inning, when Rangel hit a clutch two-run single to break the deadlock. Higgins followed with another single to extend the lead and seal the win. Earlier in the contest, Rightmyer sparked the offense with a triple, while Robertson added an RBI single.

Genesee's defense was flawless, finishing the game with zero errors. Savage led the effort in the field with 12 putouts. Offensively, the Cougars showed great balance, with eight different players recording a hit in the victory.

The guys look to shift their momentum to facing Onondoga on tuesday, 4/21.
