The Genesee Cougars beat Tompkins Cortland 12-11 on Sunday following a dramatic seventh-inning comeback. Trailing 11-9 in the final frame, Emara hit a bases-clearing double to score three runs and secure the walk-off victory.
Genesee's offense produced 13 hits in the high-scoring game. Rightmyer sparked the rally with a three-run home run in the fourth, finishing the day with three RBIs. Robertson led the team in hits, going 3-for-4, while Higgins and Yageric added multiple hits to the total.
On the mound, Murray earned the win in relief. He threw nearly four innings without allowing a hit, striking out four and giving up no earned runs to keep the Cougars in the game. Freville started for Genesee, and Donalty provided additional relief innings before the Cougars' final rally.

The Genesee Cougars secured a 14-13 walk-off win against Tompkins Cortland on Sunday after a massive seventh-inning rally. Trailing 13-11 in the final frame, Yageric hit a three-run home run to left field to end the game.
Genesee's offense combined for 13 hits, led by a perfect 4-for-4 performance from Rightmyer, who drove in five runs. Robertson, Emara, and Dombrowski each added multiple hits, while the team recorded three stolen bases and a double play.
Smith earned the win in relief, holding the lead in the final inning. Bates started on the mound, striking out four over nearly four innings, with Schultz providing additional support from the bullpen. The victory capped off a seven-run explosion in the seventh inning to seal the comeback.
The guys look to follow the strong outting against Erie's Kats this coming Tuesday at Home.
