GARDEN CITY, NY… The no.6 ranked Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team lost a tough-fought game to top-ranked Nassau Community College Lions 10-5 on Sunday afternoon.
Evan Printup got the scoring underway for Genesee with just three seconds remaining in the opening quarter, cutting the Lions lead in half at the end of the quarter. The Cougars would tie the game at 2 with a goal from Zach Wade with Timothy Martino recording his second assist of the day. Genesee would trail Nassau 5-2 at the intermission. Henry Reber and Evan Printup would score to cut the lead back to two halfway through the third quarter, but Nassau would take on two more and would go on to score the win. Dante David cut the score in half to 10-5 with little over two minutes remaining in regulation.
The Cougars (1-2) will be on the road on Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Hudson Valley Community College to play the Vikings in an NJCAA Region 3 contest with opening face-off at 4pm. Fans can use #cougarPRIDE while posting on social media.
