The No. 6 Genesee Community College women's soccer team concluded its regular season with its sixth-consecutive shutout win. The Cougars blanked visiting Broome Community College 4-0 Oct. 20 to finish the regular season at 15-2.

In addition to the win being the sixth-straight by shutout, it was also the team's eighth clean sheet in its last nine starts. During the months of September and October, the Cougars went 13-1 with the lone loss being to the current No. 1 team in the country.

National Junior College Athletic Association All-American Miko Yamashita led the way with a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Yamashita's first goal 16 minutes into the game proved to be the game-winner as the sophomore collected six points on the afternoon.

Current NJCAA D-III Women's Soccer Player of the Week Leah Czechowski was not far behind Yamashita after also netting a pair of goals, while Ryley O'Mara assisted on the game-winner.

Jaclyn Guzdek recorded her nation-leading 12th clean sheet with a half-dozen saves as the Cougars out-shot the Hornets 19-9 for the contest while also holding the edge in corner kicks 6-2.

Guzdek also leads all NJCAA D-III keepers in minutes played with 1530.
