The No. 4 Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team rebounded after a season-opening loss to No. 3 Community College of Baltimore County-Essex last weekend with a road win at No. 7 SUNY Delhi on Thursday afternoon, 17-5.
The Cougars held a one-goal lead after the first quarter but outscored the Broncos 14-3 the rest of the way, including a 5-1-goal differential in the third and fourth quarters.
Jacob Bomberry led the Genesee offense with six goals on the afternoon. Cyrus Spruce added a hat trick and two assists, Brody Jorgenson recorded five points with two goals and three assists, Jimmy Smith assisted on four goals, Cameron Seneca had two goals and an assist and Lukas Baildon scored twice.
Reed Hnidy led the team with six groundballs and also had four takeaways. Alex Henry had five takeaways and three groundballs, Joshua Wester had three takeaways and three groundballs and Oliver Stoudt added four groundballs.
