Men's Lacrosse places eight on WNYAC All-Conference Team

The Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team had eight members selected to the Western New York Athletic Conference All-Conference Team for the 2013 season. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Brady Lawrence, sophomore defender Jordan McElligott, sophomore attackers Christian Reiller and Jon Gill and freshman midfielder Pete DiLaura were all named to the All-Conference First Team. 

Sophomore midfielders Marcus Palvino and Tom Owens and freshman defender Johnny Astrologo were named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Along with All-Conference honors, Lawrence, McElligott, Reiller, Gill, DiLaura and Palvino were also named to the All-Region Team.
 
Astrologo caused 59 turnovers this season. That mark was second most on the team and second most in the country. He collected 53 ground balls this year and assisted on one goal.

Owen had eight total points (four goals and four assists) this season. He also collected 52 ground balls, which was the fifth highest total on the team.

Genesee finished the season 15-3 overall and held the No. 2 ranking in the National Poll. They were Western New York Athletic Conference champions, Region III Western Conference champions and advanced to the NJCAA National Final Four for the third consecutive year.
