Ferran accounted in whole or in part for more than half of Genesee’s 259 men’ swimming points in Potsdam last weekend against five, four-year schools and one NJCAA school. In addition to help setting three school relay records with three other teammates, Ferran captured first-place in all three individual races he competed in and dominated at each one. At 200-yard competition, Ferran’s first-place finishes were more than three seconds better than any other swimmer in both the butterfly and individual medley races. In his 400-yard individual medley, he finished more than 15 seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer that included competition from NCAA D-I, D-II and D-III teams. Of the three school record relays, the Cougars finished highest in the 400-yard freestyle at third. Overall, Ferran accumulated 48 points for Genesee in individual races and was part of another 84 points as part of Genesee relay teams for 132 total points.
